'Vedaa' Bollywood-John Abrahim's Movie Review-Story in Short.
In Cricket Team one of player is in full form then expectations are raised, those expectations are broken. Something similar has happened with 'Veda'. Good trailer, good concept, pre-interval part of the movie is also good. But, Veda does not seem to live up to expectations.
What is the story of the film?
The story of the film revolves around the caste system. This is the story of Barmer in Rajasthan, where the head of 150 villages dictates this law. The life of a Scheduled Caste boy depends on an Upper Caste girl. Then the bloody game begins. Veda is a girl from a backward caste background. Veda wants to pursue a career in boxing. An ex-army man Abhimanyu aka John helps her. Veda's brother's love affair troubles his entire family. What happens next, how does Veda and her family deal with all this? What events take place in the story? You have to watch the movie to know this.
How is the movie
Sharwari tiger is at the center of this film. The film starts off strong. There are some scenes of caste discrimination which may shock you. It's not just an action movie, it has a lot more to it. The pre-intermission film is well received. However, the second half is not very interesting. Events happen according to the prediction in our mind. We continue to feel that the film defies expectations. The film reduces the dose of action and increases the dose of emotion. If more attention was paid to the screenplay of the movie, it would have been a better movie.
How are the actors acting?
Sharvari is the life of the film. She has played an amazing role. Be it the local dialect or the body language, she has done a good job. She has left her mark in the second half of the film as well. Sharvari has done different haircut roles this year. She has done a good job in it. She can become a leading actress in the future.
John Abraham's work is good. John has done justice to his personality. John leaves his mark in action. Abhishek Banerjee has also given life to the villain role. Ashish Vidyarthi has once again shown his excellent acting. Kshitij Chauhan has also done a good job. Tamannaah Bhatia is the guest star.
Direction -
Good direction by Nikhil Advani is fine. After a good start, the film could have done more. But, he fell short. The second part of the film would have been a better film if more effort had been put into it.
Overall, this movie is not a problem to watch. Extra points should be given to Sharvari and the subject of the movie.
