Himachal Pradesh Rajya sabha election 6 Congress MLA were disqualified under anti defection law

 


Six Congress MLA were disqualified by speaker Kuldip Singh Pathania under anti defection law. Himachal Pradesh's Rajya Sabha election held on 27 february 2024. The Congress MLA were disqualified due to violating election rules. 

  The election went without any quarrel but internally 6 MLA violation law of conduct  hence disqualification from Rajya sabha election. MLA's names are follows Sudhir Sharma from Dharmasthala, Chaitnya Sharma from Garget, Inder Lakhanpal from Bassar, Rajendra Rana from Sujanpur, Ravi Thakur from Lahaul and Davendra Butto from Kutleher. 

   The case filed against theses all 6 MLA by parliament affairs minister Harshvardhan Chauhan, 6 MLA are fighting against each other. They were teasing and abusing with bad words to BJP party. There are 68 members in state assembly, last election congress were majority leading against BJP. 40 MLA seats more against BJP which were 25 only. Last election congress lead the BJP, BJP's 15 MLA were disqualified for violating law election conduct. 

   Jai Ram Thakur leader of BJP one of the disqualified candidate. That means congress are 40 MLA and BJP 25 MLA hence total 68 members for state assembly, 3 seats were independent. The Himachal Pradesh Sukhvinder suku C.M called assembly meeting. Sudhir Sharma member of Congress party. He was elected in 2003 and relected in 2007, General secretary in 1994 to 1996 and 1996 to 2003. 

   In 2009 Chaitanya Sharma the member of Congress party is even member of legislative assembly since 2022 in the Lokpal Lokpal was counselor of Shimla from 1997 to 2002. Rajendra Rana member of legislative assembly from 2017 even he was member from 2012 to 2014. Ravi Thakur member of legislative assembly from 2022. Devendra Bhutto Himachal Congress from 2021 to 2022.
